Each year students from all the universities in Perth take part in plus trip as a way of travelling together to the National Training Event in Canberra.
Plus Trip consists of 3 components.
1. Mission with a local church
We spend 5 days working with a church in Perth. We help them out in their mission, and get to have a go at doing real, live ministry ourselves..
2. AFES National Training Event (2 – 6 December)
This is a 5 day conference for students from Christian Unions all over Australia. There’s great talks, great music, great Bible studies, and great opportunities to grow in our knowledge and love of Jesus. You can check it out at nte.org.au
3. Optional Extra Time in Sydney (7 – 11 December)
We’ll be flying over and back, this package includes time after NTE travelling to Sydney and the Blue Mountains
Note that joining the conference requires also registration at nte.org.au. We recommend dorm accomodoation and we’ve asked the conference organisers to put WA students together.
Options
1. Fly in, Fly out (29 Nov – 6 Dec)
Fly to with us to NTE and back again, and a local mission trip (before or after NTE).
Cost: $900 – includes flights, bus travel and all ‘together meals’, but not tourist costs (and you will need some money to pay for your own meals)
Note: You will also need to register pay for NTE ($400 for Dormitory accommodation + early bird discount) nte.org.au
2. NTE + Trip (29 Nov – 11 Dec)
This includes mission before NTE, then fly with us to NTE, spend a few days in Sydney & the Blue Mountains and then return to Perth.
Cost: $1150 – includes flights, bus travel and all ‘together meals’, but not tourist costs but not tourist costs (and you will need some money to pay for your own meals)

3. Just Mission: If you can’t afford the time and money for the total package, you can still join a mission team. Check with staff members on your campus about details. Cost $0
4. Make your own way to NTE: You are welcome to arrange your own travel to Canberra for NTE. Just join a mission team and book all your own flights.
